I am a self taught Artist, embracing and growing the techniques that define who I am today. I draw inspiration from the places I've traveled, the beauty around me and the people who have so greatly influenced me on my journey. I strive to instill my passion and love for art with those I know. Using my creative space as a building block for self awareness, creativity and independent process for those I teach and share my talents.
My current work embodies the use of Water Colors, Oil and Acrylic mediums. Creating a style that includes a mishmash of realism, expressionism and mixed media. I love to work emotionally, allowing for change and adaptions at any time. I believe in teaching the importance of letting go and starting new as this has been such a strong hold for me in my artistic process and growth. I embrace imperfecions and teach my students the value of their own artistic journey above the end result.

I am an Artist that teaches from the well of my education, experience, and creative process. I find inspiration from the tiniest acorn to the largest global experiences. Currently I am exploring expressionism, creating images in order to expand my spiritual relationship with the world.
As a trained figurative painter, my main goal is to teach students how best to use the materials, and to slow down and really see.
With skill building, I combine the joy of imagination with tools, so students can find their unique voice, and express themselves in a creative environment.

I am an Artist who enjoys the process, the learning, relaxation and expression that art gives. I am self taught and enjoy stretching myself and my abilities in new mediums and techniques. One of my favorite mediums is watercolor. I love the fluidity, and the ethereal tones you can achieve with watercolor. I am exploring oils, acrylics and mixed media techniques as well. I am inspired by my family, and our funny menagerie of pets. I absolutely love spending time in nature and am in awe of the beauty around us in raindrops, summer skies, ocean waves and ruffle petaled blooms. As a teacher my hope is to instill an enjoyment of the process and a focus on the learning over the outcome.
I am an Artist who has spent countless hours inside and outside of the classroom, experiencing the world of art in many different forms. I have an appreciation for all mediums, including unconventional ones. I work with paint, pencils, pastels, and everything in between. On my own time, I enjoy experimenting with materials and discovering new favorite methods of creation. Throughout my education, I enjoyed learning different art styles and the unique qualities that define them. My personal art style is one that favors elaborate detail and realism, although most of my work may be better described as surrealism. I strongly believe that everyone is capable of unlocking the ability to communicate their artistic expressions without frustration or criticism. My passion for teaching stems from that belief as well as my accompanying desire to assist others in developing a strong, confident artistic ability.
